Panagiotis' research interests lie in the area of Human Computer Interaction and include Mixed Reality, Wearable & Ubiquitous Computing, Haptics, Visualization and User Experience.

Panagiotis' research interests lie in the area of Human Computer Interaction and include Mixed Reality, Wearable & Ubiquitous Computing, Haptics, Visualization and User Experience.

Panagiotis has an MEng (2000) and a PhD (2006) in Electronic Systems Engineering, from University of Essex. His doctoral research investigated Augmented Reality using Wearable Computers. Between 2007 and 2011 he worked as a software developer on Operations Support Systems.

He joined Bangor University in June 2011, working as a Research Officer for Project IVY - Interpreting in Virtual Reality (LLP 511862-LLP-1-2010-1-UK-KA3-KA3MP), investigating the use of virtual environments in interpreter-mediated communication and training. In addition, he is currently working on Haptic Data Visualisation. He is also an active member of the AR Standards community, investigating standardisation for open and interoperable AR.
