Advanced Interfaces for Surgical Interventions
The development and use of medical virtual environments is one of the major research themes within RIVIC. Recent initiatives include building novel force and tactile feedback devices, which allow the trainee to interact with a virtual patient. It is also possible to prototype new surgical tools and test them within the virtual environment.
